The Book "Animal Farm" and a Little About Joseph Stalin'S Use of Labor

I think that the book Animal Farm should be read and talked about in school. In the book Animal Farm they teach some key lessons that are still useful in today’s culture. Communism is discussed throughout the book teaching others the thought some have on the Russian revolution. Animal Farm shows the power that someone can have and how it can ruin things, like Joseph Stalin in the Russian Revolution, and Napoleon in the book Animal Farm. The book gives off the life lesson that when given too much power it can lead to corruption, things like this can and do still happen today. In the book Napoleon represents Joseph Stalin, they both show in the Russian Revolutions and Animal farm that words said by others can be manipulated and used against you.

A lesson that you can pick up from reading the novel is that powerful leaders like Josehf stalin or Napoleon is that leaders can sometimes get caught up in the “good life” that they are living. When they get caught up they sometimes only think of themselves and don’t think about what is better for the others. During their process they hurt many others, Boxer or the Russian working class they were worked until they couldn’t work anymore. During the time when Boxer otherwise known as the Russian working class were suffering Benjamin or the older class were also suffering. They were suffering because they are friends with Boxer and the working class, they also appreciate them because they are supporting the elders. The working class is also creating a future for the young ones, but the working class is being taken advantage of by the pigs otherwise known as Joseph Stalin.

Another reason this book should be read in school and talked about is because it shows how too much power can be bad. When you have to much power you become selfish. When their selfish they think they are more deserving than others and this is shown when the pigs change the rule from All Animal Are Equal to All Animals Are Equal But Some Are Equiler, when they state this they are saying that the pigs or Joseph Stalin are more equal than the others. Also when having as much power as the pigs did they became unaware of those that they were hurting. They betrayed all the rest of the animals on the farm, they also changed old Major’s dream speech. The pigs did not care that they were over working Boxer because the pigs were not close with Boxer so his opinion did not matter to them. But when the pigs sent Boxer to the glue factory the rest of the animals were mad at the pigs because Boxer held the animals together and encouraged them to continue to work.

When the animals gave Napoleon the job of making all the decisions on the farm they gave him too much power. With this power Napoleon let it go to his head that he was the best on the farm. Napoleon knew that the animals on the farm would not memorize the commandments and that’s why he changed them. He also changed them because then he could do what he wanted without breaking the commandments. Napoleon also never helped with the windmill and he also hid during the human revolution, he did this because he thought he was too good to have to be like the other animals and they should be doing it for them.

Because of the reasons given I think that the book Animal Farm written by George Orwell should be talked about and discussed. Not only does it teach that there was a Russian Revolution, but it also teaches that having too much power never leads to good things. It shows how others will be affected by what you do and say for example Old Major had a dream and most of the animals lived by it also another example is that the rest of the pigs had too much power and only thought about themselves and the other animals living on the farm did not like the pigs.
