“To live be to suffer; to survive is to find some meaning in the suffering” (Roberta Flack). 9/11 has changed our world so much; including how some people walk outside and feel scarred and like they never know when there going to be bombed. I feel different about that when I walk outside I’m not afraid that my cars is going to blow into smithereens. I trust our government that there going to make the right decision to keep us safe.
Ten years ago America went through a tragic time of 9-11 when terrorist attacked us; taking thousands of lives. The attacks on 9/11 were too fast to be prevented. The public safety officials were thrown into a world of chaos trying to evacuate the building. Everything was just hardly comprehensible in the authority’s eyes. “The 9/11 attacks had immediate and overwhelming effects upon the American people. Police and rescue workers from around the country took leaves of absence, traveling to New York City to help recover bodies from the twisted remnants of the Twin Towers. Blood donations across the U.S. surged in the weeks after 9/11.”(Wikipedia) The state of being free or at liberty rather than in confinement or under physical restraint is a wonderful thing (Freedom). Being able to say what I want and do what I want is awesome. Even thought our government has tons great things to it; I still would recommend to change some things. Such as welfare if you don’t work I think that money shouldn’t be taken from other people who work. In my opinion it should be used for better things such as paying of our debt or going to schools that are going through the budget cut.
Saddam Hussein was the dictator of Iraq for more than 20 years. He was also partially responsible for the 9/11 terrorist attack on our country. For these reasons, the U.S. wanted Hussein captured. Hussein needed to be captured because of his violent tactics of power and connections to Al Qaeda and Osama Bin Laden. Saddam knew of what he did and knew that U.S. forces were after him. When U.S. forces captured Hussein, he was hiding, “in an underground hideout on a farm near his hometown, Tikrit.” The reason why it is our responsibility to rebuild the Iraqi government is because we caused the government to fall by killing its dictator, Saddam Hussein. By killing him, the U.S. created a collapse in the entire government when all they wanted was to capture their leader. Now, we have an obligation to stay their further to construct a stable government that the people of Iraq can depend on.
