Life is totally depending on technology and social media which refers to applications, websites or blogs. People are more reliant on social media then earlier times. Some of the commonly used applications now days are Facebook, snapchat, Instagram and many others.

Positive Impacts

Every coin has its two sides head or tail, the pro’s is discussed with social media are communication, freedom of speech while cons includes internet crime and loss of productivity in health and education. As per the popularity of social media keeps on spreading all over the world, they have mixed feelings about these networks and how they impact the youth. Let’s look at the positive side first. Through the interactions, youth can share ideas and opportunity. Social media gives them an opportunity to make new friends and also allows them to maintain old friends even if they finished their school/collage and migrate to different locations they feel connected and update one another. It is more reliable and less time-consuming people can pay their own bills from internet rather than going to the office. Popular youths can be hired by corporations to their brand and ambassadors. Youth can find jobs online on indeed, monster etc.

People who are shy can share their own thoughts and wish in public forums, without fear. Twitter is the best example for how to use site and one can share their thoughts in a creative way. Blogs shared on social media and allows user to share their views in form of comments for competitive discussions. It is cheaper means of communication. Through hired in same company, these different workgroups are operating from different parts of the earth. However, their compunction can be done online.

Negative Impacts

On one side if social media connected together on other side, it creates isolation. As youth spends more time on these, they communicate face to face interaction very rarely. Cyberbullying is major problem on social media where victims experiencing depression and some might has also caused suicides. Earlier times youngsters use to have outdoor games and activities but now they have linked games to their account which makes them more addictive.

Social media plays huge role in changing behavior of the youth. Like earlier people use to wake up and read the newspaper to know what’s happening around them and in the world. But now a day’s people woke up and check their phones to check what they have missed out. The excessive use of sites can also have negative effect on their physical and psychological health.

They can stay awake up to late night and scrolling up and down their newsfeed and wake up early which is definitely they don’t get enough sleep which can spoil whole day. Too much of social meads leads to addiction. Todays generation is seating next to each other, not talking, but just staring at their mobile. Youths are spending more time on social media than their families and loved ones. It can distract at work, they cannot concentrate on their tasks.

Take away social media and the effects will start. It’s just liked a drug they will be stressed without phones. Some people create fake id and do the things which they never dare do in real life just to impress someone. Everything falls apart they might get serious psychological problems like depression. It is easy to trace people using social media. So, if criminal want to target someone he can get all information from social media. As Albert Einstein once said,” I fear the day that technology will surpass our human interaction. The world will have a generation of idiots. Social media helps to get information about world. But it is very addictive. Doing away may not be helpful to our society.
